Effective 29 September 2026 · Last updated 29 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you (and, if you use the service for an employer, that employer) and Umair Zakria for the Auto Lookup browser extension and the licence portal at autolookup.vercel.app. By installing the extension, signing in or using a lookup, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

1. Agreement
This agreement incorporates our privacy policy. Where the two differ on a data-protection question, the privacy policy governs. We may ask you to confirm your acceptance of an updated version before continuing to use the service.
2. The service
Auto Lookup is a browser extension that lets a signed-in user look up a phone number on licensed record sources and read the result without leaving the page they are working on. It also drives, on request, date-of-birth discovery and vehicle-quote runs. The portal at autolookup.vercel.app issues the accounts, holds the lookup balances and provides the administrative panel that issues credits.
Lookup balances are issued by whoever administers your licence. The service is a tool for professionals; it is not a consumer service, and it is not a substitute for the sources it reads.
3. Accounts and access
- One account per person. Do not share credentials or use one account concurrently across people; each lookup is metered against the account that made it.
- You must be at least 18 and have the authority to bind your employer if you sign up on its behalf.
- Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account until you tell us it has been compromised.
- An administrator may deactivate an account, change its plan or adjust its balance at any time — that is how the licence is administered.
- We may suspend or remove an account that breaches these terms, that is being shared, or that we are required by law to suspend.
4. Your licence to use the extension
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the extension for your own internal business purposes, for as long as your account is active and these terms are kept. The extension is licensed, not sold.
You may not, and may not let anyone else:
- copy, sell, rent, sublicense, redistribute or publish the extension or any part of it;
- reverse engineer, decompile or extract its source, except where that restriction is not permitted by law;
- remove or obscure ownership notices, or use our name, logo or branding without written permission;
- use the extension to build, train or populate a database of your own, or to provide a competing service;
- circumvent the credit system, the account model or any technical limitation of the service.
The extension is updated over the browser’s own update mechanism. Continuing to use it after an update means you accept the updated version.
5. Lookup credits and fair use
- Each lookup you start consumes one credit from the account, and the balance is decremented on the portal as the lookup begins. Lookup credits issued by your administrator.
- A lookup is counted when it is started, even if a source returns nothing or a source is unavailable — the credit is spent on running the search, not on the result. Sources are third-party websites and they do change without notice.
- Do not script, automate or batch the extension, and do not query in a pattern that is clearly not human-paced work. Balances are per person for a reason, and unusual patterns may be throttled or investigated.
- The account shows your remaining balance and the extension refreshes it as you work. If it reads “limit reached contact admin for more limit”, ask your administrator for more credits.
6. Acceptable use
This is the most important section of these terms. Looking up a phone number is a serious thing to do, and the law puts the responsibility for doing it lawfully on the person doing it.
You must have a lawful basis and a legitimate business reason for every lookup you make. You may not:
- use the service, or anything it returns, for eligibility decisions — credit, employment, tenancy, insurance, benefits or any other decision about a person that is regulated as a consumer report under the Fair Credit Reporting Act or comparable law. We are not a consumer reporting agency and do not assemble or evaluate information for that purpose;
- use the service to harass, stalk, intimidate or defraud anybody, or to collect a debt in breach of the law;
- make calls, or send messages, in breach of telemarketing, Do-Not-Call, robocall, consent or data-protection rules that apply to you — a result that says “DNC clean” is information, not permission;
- look anybody up without the authority your role gives you, or look up your own family, colleagues, neighbours or public figures out of curiosity;
- use the service for any unlawful purpose, or to break the terms of the sites the extension reads;
- resell, publish, redistribute or make the data available to anybody who is not a licensed user of your account.
We may suspend an account immediately, without refund, if we reasonably believe it is being used in breach of this section, and we may be required to report certain conduct to the authorities.
7. Third-party sites and data
The records you see come from third-party sources. They may be incomplete, out of date or simply wrong, and their availability is outside our control: a source can change its pages, add a security check or block automated access at any time, which can slow the service down or temporarily break part of it. Those sites’ own terms and privacy policies apply to the visits the extension makes; you are responsible for complying with them. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the content or accuracy of any third-party data.
8. No advice, no consumer report
The service is a reference tool. Nothing it shows is legal, financial or compliance advice, and nothing it shows is a consumer report or a background check. Where a decision matters — a contract, a claim, a legal position — verify the information with the original source or a professional before you act on it.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service working, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability and no service level is agreed unless it is in a separate signed agreement. Features may change, be added or be withdrawn — usually because a source changed the way it works. Planned maintenance is carried out with as little disruption as we can manage.
10. Intellectual property
The extension, this portal, the underlying software, the database structure and the branding are owned by Umair Zakria or its licensors and are protected by copyright and database law. Record data returned by the sources belongs to those sources and is shown to you under the terms of your licence. If you send us feedback, you allow us to use it to improve the service without obligation to you.
11. Fees, taxes and refunds
Lookups are supplied under the plan and balance your administrator issues. Lookup credits issued by your administrator. Amounts are exclusive of taxes and duties, which are added where the law requires. [refund policy - to confirm]
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time: remove the extension and ask your administrator to close the account. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms, if the balance or the licence behind the account ends, if we are required to by law, or if continuing would expose us or a third party to legal risk. On termination the licence in section 4 ends immediately, your access is withdrawn, and the data held about the account is deleted as described in the privacy policy. Sections that by their nature should survive — intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, governing law — survive termination.
13. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of third-party data, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that a lookup will return a result, that a result is complete or current, or that the service will be free of interruption or error. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your statutory consumer rights where they apply.
14. Liability and indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, lost goodwill or lost data, however caused and whether or not we were told they were possible. Our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the amount paid for the lookups in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We do not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
You agree to indemnify Umair Zakria against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your use of the service — in particular from a lookup you made without a lawful basis, from a decision you took on a record, from any call or message you sent after reading one, or from your breach of section 6.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [governing law / jurisdiction - to confirm], and the courts of that place have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute — unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring proceedings locally, in which case you keep that right. If one part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stands, and the unenforceable part is read as narrowly as possible.
16. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the version in force is the one on this page, with the date shown at the top. Material changes are announced here before they take effect, and continuing to use the service after that means you accept them. Questions about these terms, or about an account: umairzakria6@gmail.com.
